Without a doubt – at the top of Bündner Rigi! That’s exactly where our gravel adventure takes you, promising unforgettable experiences and breathtaking Alpine scenery.

We start off gently – the first few kilometers lead us through the historic streets of Ilanz, a charming town on the banks of the Rhine. From there, the route heads toward Cumbel in the beautiful Lumnezia valley. With each passing kilometer, the surroundings become quieter – and your breathing a little heavier.

Next, we hit a scenic alpine road, passing through the lovely village of Morissen and continuing up toward the peaceful Sogn Carli chapel. It’s the perfect place for a short break – ideal for a picnic or even a small campfire. But no worries if you’re traveling light – the summit isn’t far away.

At the top, you’ll arrive at the Bündner Rigi restaurant, offering the best panoramic views in the area. Here you can refuel and enjoy the sweeping vista over the Surselva valley, stretching all the way to Chur.

The return to Ilanz is a relaxing ride on a mix of gravel tracks, forest paths, and short paved sections.
